Shelby has always been a creative and wanted to use her passion in the field of public relations. After taking a design class at UT, she found a new passion for graphic design. While at Metro Drug Coalition, she had the opportunity to create several different materials for the organization. Today, she works with Adobe Creative Suite to create promotional materials for the UT chapter of PRSSA.

Since her first internship in public relations, Shelby has created social media content for many different organizations and industries. Examples of her social media work are linked with each logo.

Because of her passion for writing, Shelby joined the public relations major. Since then, she has worked on major school projects, written many press releases and had the opportunity to have her stories picked up by major local outlets. Examples of her writing are linked with each photo.

While at the Metro Drug Coalition, Shelby worked on a video project that is still in place at the organization today. She created an intro and outro for their "Rewind" series and introduced their first video.

In addition, she had the opportunity to pitch a story to Whitney Kent at Knoxville's local Channel 8 News. After pitching the story, she was invited to do a recorded interview on Kent's show, "Mom's Everyday." You can view Shelby's video work by clicking the links in each video still.
